Bravery
Not the dragon slaying type but the when you step out of that comfort zone. You know the one that cocoon’s you from danger. A job, a relationship, any act that becomes habitual. My baby boomer back ground certainly was influential. We witnessed society break down with the hippy culture, Vietnam war protests, an economy wracked with hyper inflation an high unemployment, gasoline shortages and the transitions to the 80s with a return of the promise of prosperity. With the many changes life has brought I hold tightest to what I know. 28 years with the same company, 20 years with my dentist and 25 with my dermatologist. Elizabeth has been my Queen all my life. Why have I had such trouble to put my foot in the water and dive in? Obviously a sense of security is far more important to me. Bravery means being less secure, uncomfortable. And that should be my next journey.
